This incredibly unique geological phenomena has to be seen to be believed. Consisting of over 37,000 geometrically shaped columns of volcanic basalt, the Giants Causeway reaches from the shoreline out into the sea. Legend has it that the island was formed by the giant Finn McCool who built it to link Ireland with Scotland. Entry to the causeway is free. A visitors centre provides exhibits and other relevant tourist information. Address: 44 Causeway Rd. Bushmills, Country Antrim Northern Ireland
