Apprentice Boys Hall
+ My Favorites
Built in 1873, the Apprentice Boys Hall's purpose was to commemorate the Great Siege of 1689. Currently celebrations connected with the Siege as well as initiations to the brotherhood of the Apprentice Boys occur in the Hall.

Guildhall
+ My Favorites
The Guildhall stands directly outside the Walls of Derry, between the River Foyle and Shipquay Gate. Built in Tudor-Gothic style, it is a duplicate of the hall in London. The remarkable stained glass inside illustrates much of Derry's history. Today the Guildhall is used for theatre productions, concerts and exhibitions.

Derry City Walls
More Info | + My Favorites
The only remaining unbroken city walls in the British Isles, a walk around Derry's City Walls is highly recommended to get a perspective of this historic city. Many interesting and historic sights lie within these walls, which are 25 feet high and up to 30 feet thick. Gates with drawbridges and portcullises were originally the only entrances to the city and include the Butcher's Gate, which endured most of the Jacobite attacks. The walls can be walked independently but a lot more can be learned by taking a guided tour.
